Discovery flights are for individuals that just want to take a ride in one of our aircraft. This flight will include a certified flight instructor that will allow you to fly the aircraft. A discovery flight is not intended for training purposes. A student pilot’s first flight is another option that will require a TSA endorsement prior to beginning the flight training.

The cost of any flight (including Discovery Flights) at JNFC is the cost of the plane, plus the cost of the instructor, regardless of how many passengers or students are in the plane. A typical discovery flight would include 1 hour in the airplane, plus 2 hours of time with a Certified Flight Instructor (1 hour in the airplane, plus 1 hour on the ground). Take a look at our current aircraft and instructor rates. The cost is always determined after the flight is completed, based on actual time flown. A 30 minute discovery flight will likely cost less than $150.

A Discovery Flight with JNFC…
– Can include 1 to 3 passengers in the plane
– Lasts about 1 hour in the air, plus about 1 hour on the ground
– Must be in fair weather
– Is flown with an FAA Certified Flight Instructor
