PRIVATE PILOT GROUND SCHOOL

Saturdays beginning 5 October

0900 – 1600    6 Weeks

            This course will prepare you for the required FAA Private Pilot Airman Knowledge Test. We will be using the FAA Pilot’s Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge (PHAK), Airplane Flying Handbook (AFH), and a few additional publications (all downloadable from FAA.GOV at no cost). This course will meet all of the required training of 14 CFR 61.105, and successful completion will provide an endorsement to take the FAA Private Pilot Airman Knowledge Test.

Regularly scheduled Safety Meetings are held at Dewey’s in the Chief Petty Officers’ Club.  The meetings start at 1800 and are typically completed within an hour.  Topics include club updates, safety discussions and local procedures discussions.  The meeting are open to all and include food and beverage services offered by Dewey’s.
